RON97 and diesel prices slashed by 8 sen per litre from May 8 to May 14, 2025

PUTRAJAYA, 7 May 2025 – The Malaysian government has announced a reduction in the retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel, effective from 8 May to 14 May 2025.


The Ministry of Finance announced that RON97 will now cost RM3.10 per litre, down 8 sen from its previous price, while diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will drop by 8 sen to RM2.80 per litre.


In line with global oil market trends, the government aims to maintain stability in fuel prices while continuing to monitor market developments. The price adjustment follows the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.


Additionally, RON95 petrol will remain unchanged at RM2.05 per litre.


The Ministry emphasized its commitment to ensuring sustainable measures to safeguard public welfare amidst fluctuating global oil prices.
