MP Subang PKR Nominations Close: Wong Chen Backs Rafizi Ramli for Deputy President

SUBANG, May 10, 2025 — Nominations for the PKR Central Committee concluded at midnight yesterday, with Subang MP Wong Chen announcing his full endorsement of Rafizi Ramli for the party’s Deputy President post. Wong, a long-standing party member, also confirmed he will defend his position as a central committee member.

In a statement this morning, Wong pledged to run a “clean and simple” campaign, vowing to avoid extravagant tactics such as lavish dinners, gifts, or coercive strategies.

“There will be no frills, no fear or favour tactics, no makans in hotels, and no gifts,” he said.

Wong plans to showcase his 15 years of service to PKR through a series of videos and will participate in the party’s Jelajah HIRUK campaign when possible.
