KUALA LUMPUR, May 10, 2025 – In a landmark ceremony held at the Police Training Centre (PULAPOL), 462 police officers were conferred the prestigious 2024 Police Bravery Awards (DKPP), marking the first time such an event has taken place with full ceremonial honours.

The awards, bestowed by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, recognised the courage, resilience, and loyalty of 600 police officers. Of these, 100 received their honours on October 30, 2024, at Istana Negara, while the remaining recipients were presented their awards today by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution, as decreed by His Majesty.
The ceremony saw the presentation of five distinguished awards: the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (P.G.P.P), Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis (P.S.P.P), Pahlawan Pasukan Polis (P.P.P), Kesatria Pasukan Polis (K.P.P), and Bentara Pasukan Polis (B.P.P). These accolades represent the highest recognition of the sacrifices made by police officers in safeguarding national security.
"Behind every medal lies an untold story of sacrifice—facing risks, leaving families behind, and upholding their duty with unwavering resolve," said Saifuddin.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the MADANI Government, noting that the awards serve as both a tribute to the recipients’ bravery and an inspiration for others to excel.
The Home Minister urged the police force to continue their dedication, stating, "Keep fighting for a peaceful, safe, and prosperous Malaysia—Police and Community, Inseparable!"
The ceremony concluded smoothly, celebrating the officers’ contributions to the nation’s peace and security.
